New Finish Location - Dunsborough

We are pleased to announce a new finish location for the 2010 event.  After two years of finishing the Cape to Cape within the picturesque grounds of Caves House at Yallingup, event management has decided to finish the 2010 event on the bay at Dunsborough.  This decision has been made with purely the ride in mind as the Dunsborough location offers much better track options to finish the route from Cape Leeuwin to Cape Naturaliste.  We can guarantee that this new finish will be a spectacular culmination to four days of solid riding.

Course Improvements

The Cape to Cape MTB Ride Management team continues to learn a lot from each event we run and 2009 was no different.  Despite glowing reviews from all riders, we have spent 3 months carefully planning a number of improvements to make the course even better in 2010.  Although we are yet to have all of the changes to the course approved by the respective authorities, click here for an outline of what we are working on!

New Team Relay Entry Option

We have had many enquiries regarding the fitness levels required to do the Cape to Cape MTB.  In past years we have had riders of all levels of skill and fitness enter and successfully complete the event.  But if you are not sure whether you are up for the whole ride why not take up our new Team Relay entry option and tag team each stage with a friend?  In 2010 we will launch the new Team Relay option where teams of two riders will be able to complete each stage of the event.  On each day, a rider change over point will be located at around the half way point of the stage, where the second rider of the team will be able to tag in and take over the riding.  There will be special prizes for this entry category too so now there is really no excuse for not grabbing a partner and joining in the race!
